According to Education News, Tathmini Africa has registered over 11,000 users and facilitated more than 500,000 interactions since its launch in May 2026. Under the CBE curriculum, students entering Senior School must choose from 418 approved subject combinations across three major pathways and seven distinct tracks in over 10,000 senior schools.
To help families make sense of these options, Tathmini Africa uses a 40-question assessment taken independently by the student, parent, and teacher. According to the platform's founder, Isaac Kihumba, this approach matches results against 384 possible careers to generate pathway reports and school-selection insights. The platform also offers free diagnostic features, including a Combination Finder and Career Explorer, to make the directory accessible to all families.

For students aged 15 to 17, Senior School (spanning Grades 10 to 12) is a critical phase of specialization.
